Building a custom website that increased donations to Irish Guide Dogs by 135%Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind
Design without obstacles.
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is supporting people with impaired vision and families of children with autism to access greater mobility and live independently.
Irish Guide Dogs want to reach more and more people to join their community of PAWsome volunteers to help raise a pup or to set up a fundraising event and our site offers a digital space to unite and bring that community of clients, volunteers and donors together.
The Irish Guide Dogs' business strategy is focused on growing a community online and generating donations. As such, our site architecture revolves around ways the visitors to the site can easily donate, fundraise and join.
The site is designed to showcase why funding is vital to the charity.
Our strategy is concise, we ask people to support the charity through volunteering their time, or making a donation.
We have modelled Irish Guide Dogs to have clear calls to action along with informative menu options so that the site is easy to navigate and for supporters to donate.
Its clean design and supporting imagery of the volunteers, clients and their dogs, sell the story of the charity.
People can support the charity through volunteering their time or by making a donation, and in the challenging economic climate facing non-profit organisations, Irish Guide Dogs has increased its users from 70,051 to 86,110 (+23%) in just six months.
We have added custom tracking to the site to help us monitor marketing activities to see what is working and to spot opportunities where we can optimise performance. We are also looking at ways to further leverage the platform for service users, the Irish Guide Dog community and its supporters.
IGDB increased their users from 70,051 to 86,110 in 6 months.
We were delighted to help Irish Guide Dogs boost their online presence with video.
Together, we brainstormed a full strategy starting from their key challenges and looking at main events throughout the year. We then researched and developed a series of concepts for various videos.
Two examples that came out of this strategy are the Journey of a Pup animated video, raising awareness of the costs and work that goes behind training every dog, and a Legacy campaign for people who wish to leave Guide Dogs a donation in their will.
