Google announced last month they will offer Google Ad vouchers to their SMB customers starting at the end of this month (May).

Google will provide $340m worldwide in ad credits to customers towards their future ad spend until the end of 2020 across their Google Ads platforms.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for these ad credits a business must have spent money in their Google ad accounts in ten out of twelve months of 2019 and in January and/or February of this year.

This Google ad voucher is for future Google Ad spend and cannot be applied to past or current ad spend. An SMB will receive one ad credit which must be used by 31 Dec 2020. The value of the credit will vary for each customer and Google have not yet announced any specific details on this.

Over the coming months eligible customers will be notified and will see the ad credit applied to their Google Ads account.

Welcome Support

Google have rightly identified that many SMBs have been badly hit by this pandemic so their announcement of this support package is very welcome. It will encourage advertisers who are a little nervous about dipping their toes back into top of funnel advertising activity.
